Purpleheart unsealed

Purple Heart, as its name suggests, has a dull, purple-brown color when freshly cut, and as it’s exposed to UV light, deepens to an eggplant purple. As it continues to age it settles into a dark brown with a hint of purple. It’s grown from Central America down to Brazil. It has a straight grain and a medium to high luster. Purple Heart is considered moderately difficult to work with, but is highly durable against rot, fungus, and termites. It’s a great species for products in the transportation industry.
